Prime Minister of Montenegro Duško Marković and Prime Minister Juha Sipilä assessed that the two countries have the opportunity of strong cooperation in the field of energy and concluded that ministries of the two governments should prepare a Memorandum of Cooperation between Montenegro and Finland in the field of energy.

At a meeting, held on the sidelines of the EU-Western Balkans Summit in Sofia, it was concluded that the two friendly countries maintain good and high-quality bilateral relations, and that both sides see space in further enhancing the relations by strengthening economic cooperation.

Prime Minister Marković informed Prime Minister Sipilä about extraordinary energy potentials of Montenegro, especially in renewable energy sources, as well as about our readiness to use the experiences of Finland, as well as to attract Finnish investors, especially in the field of energy.

Speaking about our European integration process, Prime Minister Sipilä said that the hard work on the reforms lies behind the successful process of European integration and congratulated the Government on the excellent economic results, assessing that the visible results are a good basis for reforms in other areas.
