Conference “Sixty years after Treaty of Rome: road ahead Europe” to be held

In order to mark the sixteenth anniversary of the Rome Treaties, one of the founding moments of Europe, Ministry of European Affairs will organise the conference Sixty years after Treaty of Rome: road ahead Europe, in cooperation with the Italian Embassy and the Delegation of the European Union.

The conference will be opened by Minister of European Affairs Aleksandar Andrija Pejović and Deputy Director General/Principal Director for the Countries of Europe in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Italy Carlo Lo Cascio.

Within the two panels which will be attended by the representatives of governments, parliaments and civil societies of Montenegro, Italy, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Serbia, the participants will discuss the Rome Treaties and their importance for the development of the idea of a united Europe, as well as the future of EU enlargement policy.

Panel members will be as follows: Chairman of the Italian Senate’s European Affairs Committee Vannino Chiti, Chairman of the Committee on European Integration of the Parliament of Montenegro Adrijan Vuksanović, Director of the Directorate for European Integration of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina Edin Dilberović, Head of the Negotiating Team for Accession of the Republic of Serbia to the EU Tanja Miščević, Head of the EU Delegation to Montenegro Aivo Orav and President of European Movement in Montenegro Momčilo Radulović.

The conference will be held at the Ramada Hotel on Monday, 27 March 2017, starting at 10:30 am.
