Minister Radulović and Ambassador Barboza: Montenegro and Brazil share common values

Montenegro and Brazil will continue to develop traditionally good and friendly relations. Although geographically distant, two countries share a lot of common values – It was stated during the meeting between the Minister of Foreign Affairs Đorđe Radulović and Ambassador of the Federative Republic of Brazil seated in Belgrade, Eduardo Botelho Barbosa in his farewell visit.

Interlocutors expressed special pleasure with signing the Memorandum of Understanding between Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Montenegro and Brazil which will serve as additional encouragement to the improvement of bilateral relations. Minister Radulović pointed out that two countries have potential to develop co-operation in numerous areas, amongst which are tourism, trade, culture and defense.

In this context, Head of Montenegrin Diplomacy especially pointed out the significance of the Consulate of Montenegro in Sao Paulo which was opened in 2016. And is headed by Honorary Consul Marko Brajović.

Ambassador Barbosa commended the good co-operation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs during his term, adding that Montenegro will remain in his heart. He also expressed pleasure for the fact that there is interest for studying Brazilian Portuguese language in Montenegro which will improve the cultural connections between two countries, especially amongst young.

Thanking Ambassador Barboza for good co-operation and valuable work during his term in Montenegro, Minister Radulović wished him success in his future missions.
