Radulović-DiCarlo: UN will continue to support Montenegro in reform implementations

Minister of Foreign Affairs Đorđe Radulović spoke in New York with Under-Secretary-General for Political and Peacebuilding Affairs Rosemary DiCarlo, who stated that the UN will continue to support Montenegro in implementation of its reform agenda.

Under-Secretary DiCarlo commended the openness and cooperativeness of Montenegrin institutions and expressed readiness of the UN team in Montenegro to help achieving priorities of the Government.

Minister Radulović also commended good cooperation and expressed satisfaction regarding long-term partnership with UN’s system in the country, including support in the previous period regarding facing consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic.

As a partner, Montenegro, is open for all initiatives of the UN which can contribute to promote of Montenegrin citizens life quality. The Government is decisive in this intent and wishes to have a driving role in these processes. In order to achieve this, we expect a transparent and open communication, as it always was in our cooperation so far with the UN, said the Head of Montenegrin Diplomacy.

Minister Radulović pointed out steadfastness of Montenegro on its European path, which, for us, doesn’t have an alternative. Interlocutors exchanged opinions regarding current activities on regional and international plan, emphasizing the significance of joint efforts and multilateralism in building peace and a stable environment.
