Šofranac Ljubojević took office as Ambassador of Montenegro to the Republic of San Marino

Newly appointed Ambassador of Montenegro to the Republic of San Marino, Milena Šofranac Ljubojević presented her letters of credence to the heads of state, Captains regent, Francesko Mussoni and Giacomo Simoncini, thus officially taking office as the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary non-resident Ambassador to this country.

During ceremony, Ambassador Šofranac Ljubojević, in the presence of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of San Marino Luca Beccari, said that Montenegro and San Marino as two small, friendly countries cherish many common values, amongst which is a special attention to the affirmation of European standards, as well as topics concerning security and peace. She pointed out her readiness to, during her term, provide maximum contribution to the improvement of bilateral relations, though more frequent official meetings, common projects that are of mutual importance, in order to strengthen cooperation all levels.

During the discussion with Captains regent, it was mutually assessed that it is necessary to work on the intensification of the political and economic dialogue, and that besides the tourism sector, the is a significant space for improving contractual legal basis, especially in the fields of economy, finance, culture and education.

During her visit, Ambassador had separate meetings with the representatives of the San Marino Chamber of Commerce, with whom she exchanged thoughts and mechanisms for further co-operation. Interlocutors discussed the possibility of connecting business communities in Montenegro or San Marino in the near future with the aim of networking contacts and defining specific models for future cooperation.
