IPARD II Program Training

Twinning project „Strengthening Rural Development Program within IPARD in Montenegro“ organized two training sessions for Extension services and Municipal authorities on IPARD II program on 5 and 7 May in Podgorica and Bijelo Polje.

Advisor at the Directorate for Rural Development of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development Ana Čabarkapa spoke about the current status, measures and eligible expenditures of IPARD II Program. Project experts Andrus Rahnu, head of Department for Direct Payments and Rural Development of the Agricultural Registers and Information Board (Republic of Estonia) and Pieter van Vugt, former Deputy Director of the Paying Agency (Kingdom of the Netherlands) shared member states' experience with around 60 participants of the training and underlined the importance of the role of extension services, which are among key factors for success of investments and good absorption of EU funds.
