Women's Internship Program – Western Balkans Trade and Transport Facilitation Project (TTFP) Phase 2
Internship Opportunity at the Ministry of Transport of Montenegro
The Ministry of Transport of Montenegro is offering an exciting internship opportunity as part of the World Bank-financed Western Balkans Trade and Transport Facilitation Project (TTFP) Phase 2. This initiative supports Montenegro’s efforts to reduce trade costs and increase transport efficiency, improving both international trade processing and logistics operations.
The TTFP Phase 2 is part of a larger a regional program covering multiple Western Balkans countries.
Key Goals of the Project:
Reducing trade costs: Streamlining customs and border crossing procedures.
Improving transport efficiency: Enhancing logistics and reducing delays.
Digitalization of trade processes: Introducing electronic processing for faster approvals.
Reducing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions: Lowering truck idling time and optimizing transport operations.
Increasing Montenegro’s regional and global trade competitiveness.

Women's Internship Program – Who Can Apply?
This exclusive internship is open to female university students and recent graduates looking to gain hands-on experience in transport and infrastructure projects. The program is designed to help increase female participation in fields that have traditionally seen lower representation of women, such as engineering and construction.
Eligibility Criteria:
Education: Final year of a full-time engineering program- transport or civil engineering (or recent postgraduate).
Language: English (additional languages are a plus).
Technical Skills: Familiarity with Microsoft Office, data analysis tools etc.
Internship Structure:
Placement: Interns will work within the Ministry of Transport of Montenegro on TTFP-related activities.
Mentorship: Interns will be paired with experienced mentors in the transport sector.
Project Work: Practical tasks in data analysis, logistics, project management, and fieldwork.
Training: Access to workshops and capacity building programs organized fro the Ministry of transport and technical skills development.
Duration: 12 months paid internship for a comprehensive learning experience.
Number of candidates: 2 per year (3 years)
Selected candidates will receive remuneration.
