Minister welcomed a NATO official

Minister of Defence Boro Vucinic welcomed today Dr Jaroslaw Skonieczka, Senior Director of Political Affairs and Security Policy Division in NATO HQ, which is responsible for communications, expert support and monitor progress of the partners countries in the political, military and defense cooperation programs. Skonieczka is in head of a NATO review team which will be in Montenegro from March 14-18 in order to assess the implementation of planned activities of ANP.

They discussed the overall cooperation with NATO. The recent results of the Ministry of Defence and the overall reform in Montenegro were rated as very positive, and both officials welcomed the participation of the Army of Montenegro in the ISAF mission and the readiness to continue its presence in Afghanistan through the initiative of the A5.

Minister Vucinic stated a clear commitment of Montenegro to continue to invest maximum efforts in order to become a NATO member country as soon as possible.
