Lazarevic at Land Commanders Conference 2011

Chief of Staff of the General Staff of the Army of Montenegro, Lieutenant Zoran Lazarevic attended Land Commanders Conference 2011 in Noordwijk, the Netherlands, from 16 to 18 May. The conference was attended by commanders of land forces from 28 NATO and seven partner countries.

The conference discussed the New Strategic concept of NATO and operational tasks after the Summit in Lisbon, cooperative security and the strengthening of cooperation between NATO and partner countries, as well as the challenges and plans of the ISAF mission in Afghanistan.

It was concluded that the role of partner countries in NATO-led operations around the world contributed to continually strengthened and improved partnerships. This, among other things, contributed to the inclusion of partners in the process of decision-making in NATO.
