After the cease of his position as a military attache in the U.S. where he worked from August 2008 until May 2011, Lieutenant Colonel Rajko Pesic continued his studies at the U.S. Army War College in Carlisle Pennsylvania, for a period of one year. The U.S. Army War College trains future leaders and commanders for the most responsible duties of the defence system.
The U.S. Army War College is a most senior military educational institution and officers of all forms of United States Armed Forces study in this school, as well as civilians from the Pentagon and U.S. State Departmen Security Cooperation Agency, and this was the first time that a place was offered to a Montenegrin officer.
