DPM Markovic: Solving case of torching of “Vijesti” vehicles must be top priority

Podgorica, Montenegro (28 October 2010) – The case of the torching of daily “Vijesti” vehicles must be among the top priorities of the prosecution office and the police, who are working closely together to identify the perpetrators of this crime, Deputy Prime Minister and Justice Minister Duško Marković has said.
DPM Marković added that he personally urged the relevant authorities, including the National Committee for the Fight against Organised Crime and Corruption, to give the case top priority. He underlined that, whereas the mere act of censure will not give results such as produce evidence, it will send an unambiguous message that Montenegro does not tolerate any acts of threat or attack on the free speech and on media in particular.
