Montenegro hosts multi-national Dolphin 2012 training exercise

Podgorica, Montenegro (10 October) – The presentation of the multi-national Dolphin 2012 training exercise took place in Tivat, Montenegro, on Tuesday.

During the exercise, which will be realised in the Bay of Kotor, Montenegro, throughout the month of October 2012, the dolphins will detect and mark the locations of possible sea mines and other explosive remnants of war on the sea floor.

Members of the US Navy's Explosive Ordnance Disposal Mobile Unit (EODMU) 1, along with the Montenegrin Navy's divers and military divers from the neighbouring countries, will take part in the Dolphin 2012 exercise, which will use a scenario simulating a UN peace-keeping mission.
