Montenegrin MPs will vote on Monday, 8 December 2014 about the draft law on the Bar-Boljare high-way project, the Public Relations Bureau has been informed by the Parliament.
The parlamentarians have brought a four-day discussion to a close and the voting is due to take place on the original draft law, as the proposed amendments did not find its way to the final text at the Economy Committe meeting.
The Government of Montenegro, which proposed the draft law, has accepted an offer by Chinese investors to build the first section of the Bar-Boljare high-way for a total project value of EUR 809 million. The Exim Bank of China approved in September a loan of EUR 687 million, and the remaining funds will be provided for by Montenegro.
Bar-Boljare is an important transport project that will improve Montenegro's and the Western Balkans' and ultimately European transport connectedness.
