Bošković - Del Monaco: Italy is stable and reliable partner to Montenegro

Minister of Defense of Montenegro, Mr. Predrag Bošković met today the Ambassador of the Republic of Italy in Montenegro, Vincenzo Del Monaco.

During the first official meeting with the Ambassador of the Republic of Italy Bošković spoked about the most important foreign policy priorities of Montenegro relating to European and Euro-Atlantic integration, as well as the results that Montenegro has achieved in the reform process.

Bošković pointed out the further commitment in the implementation of the reforms of the defense and security system of Montenegro. He thanked the Republic of Italy for its support in the reform process, saying that mutual cooperation is of great importance for the Ministry, in particular through joint participation in the mission ATALANTA, as well as through education of Montenegrin cadets and officers on Italian military academies.

Ambassador Del Monaco said that R. Italy has always been a stable and reliable partner to Montenegro. He congratulated the Minister on the success that Montenegro has achieved in NATO integrations, as well as the speed of ratification process by member states, emphasizing that Montenegro is increasingly advancing on its path to full membership in the EU. He concluded that Italy will continue to develop and improve relations between the two countries, both in the field of security and defense, as well as in all other areas.
