Montenegrin Prime Minister Milo Djukanovic talked today in Podgorica with Turkish Ambassador to Belgrade Hasan Servet Oktem. Expressing their satisfaction with the initiation of economic partnership projects, the two officials agreed that the current level of cooperation was not in line with the actual opportunities and the requirements of the two economies.
Confirming his country's keen interest and readiness to utilize numerous economic opportunities, Ambassador Oktem expressed belief that the positive experience of the reputable Turkish company Gimtas would attract other Turkish investors to Montenegro. The project aimed at promoting the tourist industry in Ada Bojana was said to provide some good opportunities in that respect. As far as infrastructure is concerned, the Prime Minister and Ambassador Oktem discussed the construction of the Montenegrin section of the Adriatic-Ionian Highway and found that the already established contacts with Enca and other reputable Turkish enterprises and investors should be intensified.
