PM Marković congratulates men's national basketball team on World Cup placement

Podgorica, Montenegro (26 February 2019) -- Prime Minister Duško Marković congratulated the Montenegrin men's national basketball team on the World Cup placement.

"On behalf of the Government and on my own behalf, I congratulate you on your historical success. Today, Montenegro is united in a sense of pride for its basketball players, who have already made their country glorious not only as a country of top sports, but also as the smallest country that will take part in the World Cup.

Therefore, the world basketball is richer for a whole generation of athletes who, with heart and desire, have built a winning team worthy of new medals," Prime Minister Marković stresses in his congratulatory letter to the players, national team selector, professional staff and the leadership of the Basketball Association of Montenegro.
