Ricardo Gutierrez: Signing of collective agreement with national broadcaster RTCG is extremely positive signal for region

Secretary-General of the European Federation of Journalists (EFJ) Ricardo Gutierrez welcomed the recent signing of the Collective Agreement with national broadcaster RTCG.
"This agreement is an extremely positive signal for the region. We call on the public broadcasters in the Balkans to follow this example, which improves working conditions and thus guarantees a supply of quality editorial content to the population, while consolidating media pluralism," Ricardo Gutierrez said in a letter published on the EFJ website.
They described the document as a "historic", pointing out that, according to the Union of Media of Montenegro, a valid collective agreement in the public broadcaster has not existed for almost 10 years.
The Collective Agreement was signed on June 28 by Minister Aleksandar Bogdanović, Managing Director of RTCG Božidar Šundic, and representatives of trade unions, Jadranka Drobnjak and Slavica Kruščić.
