DPM Simović: MCP refuses to register its business and settle legal obligations, as SPC has to do in every country

Podgorica, Montenegro (4 March 2020) -- Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Policy and Financial System Milutin Simović stated earlier tonight that Metropolitanate of Montenegro and the Littoral (MCP) refuses to register its business and settle its legal obligations, as the Serbian Orthodox Church (SPC) has to do in every country.
"Therefore, it is clear that disrespect for legal obligations is also disrespect for the state. I recall that the Montenegrin Orthodox Church in the Principality of Montenegro and the Kingdom of Montenegro properly registered all its income, listed its entire property and submitted it to the state authority for inspection. In these times, we unfortunately witness that Metropolitan Amfilohije says that the church needs to register the state in order to make it a real and a true state. Montenegro is the state and the entire world recognises it. It is the state today and it will forever be the state! The state of all its citizens and the state that is equal for all its citizens," the Deputy Prime Minister told the Radio and Television of Montenegro.
