Press release: Prime Minister Milo Djukanovic meets with US Deputy Secretary of State James B. Steinberg

Prime Minister Milo Djukanovic and US Deputy Secretary of State James B. Steinberg met in New York, on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly, on Wednesday. They shared views on Montenegros progress in the process of European and Euro-Atlantic integration and current developments in the region. In addition, both sides voiced their satisfaction with the development of bilateral relations and the readiness for their further development and more frequent political contacts at all levels.

Mr Steinberg underlined the importance of the successful implementation of Montenegros comprehensive reforms and the countrys contribution to the consolidation of peace and stability in the region, to which Washington would continue to provide its full support. He stressed in particular that Montenegro could count on US support in the Euro-Atlantic integration process.
