PM Marković calls on SPC in Montenegro to continue talks on Law on Freedom of Religion

Podgorica, Montenegro (19 July 2020) -- Prime Minister Duško Marković called on the Metropolitanate of Montenegro and the Littoral and other dioceses of the Serbian Orthodox Church (SPC) in Montenegro, to continue talks on the Law on Freedom of Religion or Belief and the Legal Status of Religious Communities.
"The Government's Team for negotiations on the Law on Freedom of Religion is ready to continue talks, in order to find an acceptable solution regarding the outstanding issues. I call on the Metropolitanate of Montenegro and the Littoral and other dioceses of the Serbian Orthodox Church to continue as early as tomorrow, 20 July 2020, the started negotiations at the expert level" said Prime Minister Duško Marković.
