Contractor selected for construction of Budva bypass

The company Monteput has adopted a decision on the selection of the designer and contractor for the construction of a fast road along the Montenegrin coast, section Markovići – Lastva Grbaljska (Budva bypass) – Phase I.

The contract for the implementation of this major infrastructure project has been awarded to a consortium comprising Briv Construction, Hering, Herc gradnja, Shandong and IPSA Institute Sarajevo.

The offered price for the preparation of project documentation and execution of works amounts to €196,257,041.22, while the completion deadline is 48 months from the date of commencement of works. The tender for this project was launched at the end of October last year and remained open until the end of February.

The construction of the fast road, which will connect the main routes Podgorica–Budva and Budva–Tivat, will have multiple benefits for the improvement of transport infrastructure in Montenegro. The project will significantly contribute to diverting transit traffic from the urban core of Budva, reducing congestion and improving road safety for all users.
