Deputy Prime Minister Bečić hosts President of Slovenia Nataša Pirc Musar

Deputy Prime Minister Aleksa Bečić welcomed President of Slovenia Nataša Pirc Musar and her delegation at a formal working luncheon held at Villa Gorica. Also present at the luncheon were Ambassador of Slovenia to Montenegro Bernarda Gradišnik, Minister of Foreign Affairs Filip Ivanović, and Minister of European Affairs Maida Gorčević.

During the luncheon, Deputy Prime Minister Bečić expressed his satisfaction with President Pirc Musar's visit, highlighting the longstanding friendly and political relations between our two countries. He noted that the visit of President Pirc Musar further strengthens the robust political ties between Montenegro and Slovenia, characterized by mutual respect, solidarity, and support.

Deputy Prime Minister Bečić took the opportunity to highlight the significant achievements of the 44th Government of Montenegro, despite commencing its mandate during a period of political challenges and institutional dysfunctionality. He emphasised the government's success in overcoming obstacles to European integration, noting substantial progress made in deblocking key institutions, implementing judicial appointments, and intensifying efforts to combat organised crime and corruption.

President Pirc Musar commended Montenegro's notable accomplishments and the government's unwavering commitment to ensuring national and regional stability amidst global uncertainties. She reaffirmed Slovenia's steadfast support for Montenegro's European integration aspirations, emphasising her country's role as a dedicated ally and advocate in facilitating Montenegro's accession to the European Union.
