As part of the commemoration of the 30th anniversary of the Srebrenica genocide, a documentary exhibition titled “When Time Stopped”, curated by the Srebrenica Memorial Center, will be displayed in the lobby of the Government of Montenegro building on 10 and 11 July.
The exhibition is not merely a collection of destroyed timepieces—it is a silent archive of a crime. The watches displayed belonged to individuals who were murdered during the genocide in Srebrenica. Many of these watches still show the exact time at which their owners’ lives were violently ended. Today, these timepieces speak on behalf of those who no longer can.
The exhibition will be open to the public on Friday, 11 July, from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
