FINNO 2025: Digital. Green. Sustainable.

The FINNO 2025 Conference, titled “Digital. Green. Sustainable.”, will bring together key innovative actors, policymakers, SMEs, startup founders, researchers, business support organizations and Enterprise Europe Network (EEN) partners from across the Western Balkans and the wider European region.

This high-level event, organised by the Montenegrin EEN consortium (MontEENegro), will take place on 15 October 2025 at Hotel Splendid in Budva. The aim of the conference is to explore the transformative potential of digital and green transitions and their role in the sustainable growth of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).

The event will be opened by Ernad Suljević, Minister of Regional Investment Development and Co-operation with Non-Governmental Organisations.

The conference is structured around four key thematic panels, with contributions from international speakers and regional stakeholders:

Panel 1: Digital Transformation of SMEs – Challenges and Solutions

Focus on digital tools, AI-driven innovation, and the impact of emerging technologies on business models and productivity in SMEs.

Panel 2: The Role of EEN in Strengthening Innovation Ecosystems

Exploring how collaborative networks, regional partnerships, research institutions, and EEN support services contribute to building resilient innovative ecosystems.

Panel 3: Synergy of European Projects – Connecting Horizon, Interreg, EIT, Digital Europe, and the EEN Network

Best practices in creating synergies between national and EU-funded projects and networks like EEN, EDIH and Enterprise Europe Networks to support business internationalization, innovation, and competitiveness.

Panel 4: Green Transition and Circular Economy – Potential and Practice

Insights into sustainable business models, ESG integration and regional initiatives supporting the green transition of SMEs.

In addition to the panel discussions, the conference will be followed by two days of matchmaking and networking events:

16–17 October 2025

These meetings will connect SMEs, startups, research organisations and innovation support providers, enabling cross-border partnerships and new business opportunities.
