Grlić Radman visits Montenegro's Pavilion at Expo in Osaka: Montenegro’s EU membership a national interest of Croatia

Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of Croatia Gordan Grlić Radman led a Croatian delegation to visit Montenegro's pavilion at the World Expo in Osaka.
The Croatian Minister expressed his satisfaction with Montenegro’s presentation, highlighting that his visit is a confirmation of the close friendly and good-neighborly relations between Croatia and Montenegro.
I am impressed by the promotion and the remarkable visual representation of the fusion of culture, identity, and developmental potential, as well as the messages Montenegro is sending as a country that fosters harmony and unites different cultures. My presence here today is a confirmation of our close friendly and good-neighborly relations, stated the Croatian Foreign Minister.
He emphasized that Croatia has supported Montenegro's European path and will continue to do so, as it is, as he mentioned, in Croatia's national interest.
Of course, we emphasize the importance of reform processes but also the respect for all European values, the rule of law, and a positive approach to resolving open bilateral issues, added Grlić Radman.
Minister Radman also highlighted the role of the Croats from Boka Kotorska as an indigenous people who serve as a bridge for cooperation between Croatia and Montenegro. He welcomed the decision by the Montenegrin Government to resolve the status of the "Josip Marković" cultural center in Donja Lastva.
On behalf of the Government of Montenegro, the Montenegrin management team at the EXPO 2025 expressed gratitude to the Croatian delegation.
It was jointly assessed that the joint participation of Croatia, Montenegro, and Slovenia in the same space at the World Expo in Japan contributes to better understanding of the culture and stronger tourism promotion for the entire region.
