Koopman in Podgorica today – meeting with Spajić on Montenegro’s European agenda

Prime Minister Milojko Spajić will meet today (Wednesday, 1 October) with Director-General for Neighbourhood and Enlargement Negotiations at the European Commission Gert Jan Koopman.

During Director-General Koopman’s visit, delegations of the Government of Montenegro and the European Commission will hold discussions on enlargement policy and the Government’s Reform Agenda within the framework of the EU Growth Plan for the Western Balkans.

The meeting with Prime Minister Spajić will also cover preparations for the upcoming Investment Conference “Smart Growth, Green Future: Accelerating Investment in Montenegro”, scheduled to take place on 14–15 October 2025 at Luštica.

In addition to meeting the Prime Minister, Director-General Koopman will also hold talks with Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Policy and Minister of Economic Development Nik Gjeloshaj, Minister of European Affairs Maida Gorčević, Minister of Justice Bojan Božović, and Minister of Interior Danilo Šaranović.

Later in the day, the Prime Minister will host a working dinner with the European Commission delegation, led by Director-General Koopman. Participants will include Deputy Prime Minister for International Relations and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ervin Ibrahimović, Minister of European Affairs Maida Gorčević, Minister of Finance Novica Vuković, Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management Vladimir Joković, and the Prime Minister’s Chief Adviser Branko Krvavac.
