During the meeting between Prime Minister Milojko Spajić and Minister of National Economy of Hungary Márton Nagy, currently visiting Montenegro, both parties emphasised their interest in building a long-term strategic partnership.

Prime Minister Milojko Spajić briefed Minister Nagy on investment opportunities and the business environment in Montenegro, citing the successful operations of Hungarian companies such as 4iG Group, OTP, and others as testament to this favorable climate.

Minister Nagy emphasised the significance of Montenegro for Hungary and reiterated Budapest's support for Montenegro's membership in the European Union. We aim to strengthen our political and economic ties. Therefore, we strongly support your efforts to develop transportation infrastructure as a prerequisite for better connectivity and enhanced economic exchange between our countries, he stated.

Given the increasing number of Hungarian tourists in Montenegro, facilitated significantly by the direct flight route between Podgorica and Budapest, the discussion also touched upon investment opportunities in the tourism industry and hotel sector.

The meeting also involved discussions on enhancing cooperation in the fields of digitalization and telecommunications, with President of the 4iG Group Gellért Jászai and Ambassador of Hungary to Montenegro József Négyesi in attendance.
