The Petrović Njegoš dynasty to be fully rehabilitated by the end of the year

The Government of Montenegro is prepared to do everything necessary to finally regulate, in an appropriate manner, the status of the Montenegrin royal dynasty Petrović Njegoš.
Prime Minister Milojko Spajić announced this during his meeting with Prince Nikola.
As not all legal obligations towards the dynasty have been fulfilled over the past 13 years, Prime Minister Spajić emphasized that through the cooperation of the Government and the Parliament, conditions should be created by the end of the year to successfully conclude the process initiated back in 2004.
By the end of the year, the Petrović Njegoš dynasty will be fully rehabilitated. I believe it is in the interest of our entire society to nurture and encourage our remarkable tradition, one shared by very few European countries. The statehood of Montenegro is inseparably linked with our crown from 1910, as well as the recognition by the great powers in the 19th century, Prime Minister Spajić stated.
The meeting also addressed numerous opportunities for Prince Nikola and the Petrović dynasty to continue their diplomatic activities with European royal families, which will be important for the successful completion of Montenegro’s EU accession path.
My grandchildren are 15 years old, and this is the right time for them to connect with Montenegro and with our compatriots. In this way, the sense of Montenegro’s commitment to the dynasty will be strengthened, and it will serve as a clear confirmation that this Government is determined to resolve a matter of great importance to us, concluded Prince Nikola Petrović Njegoš.
