The implementation of the Twinning Project “Strengthening Rural Development Programme under IPARD in Montenegro“ started on 13 June 2013, financed by the European Union and implemented by the consortium of Netherlands, Lithuania and Estonia.
The Project focuses on increasing competitiveness of the agricultural sector, support to Montenegrin rural development and approximation to EU standards – goal which will be reached by building the capacities and establishing and strengthening the institutions necessary for the absorption of EU-funds from the fifth component of the Instrument for Pre-Accession (IPARD).
Direct beneficiaries of this project are the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development and the Ministry of Finance; the project duration is 18 months.
