Fisheries

The goal of the development policy is sustainable use of available fish resources and the management of the fishing fleet in a manner that enables long-term and economically viable fisheries in our country. The Ministry harmonizes the norms at the national level with the principles of the Common Fisheries Policy of the European Union. It also conducts international cooperation in accordance with strategic commitments, manages resources, fishing fleet, access to fishing waters, aquaculture and fisheries information systems.
