Fifth Session of the Bureau for Operational Coordination Was Held

Bureau for Operational Coordination and harmonization of the work of the bodies constituting the security and intelligence sector, chaired by the Vice President of the Government and the Bureau Coordinator, Duško Marković, held its fifth session today.

In the session, there were discussed information and analyses of the competent bodies regarding the implementation of the Law on Prevention of Violence and Improper Behaviour at sports events, particularly in the context of the football match between Montenegro and Russia, which was played in March 2015. In that regard, the Bureau adopted appropriate conclusions, which, among other things, refer to concrete steps which will be undertaken in order to improve and reconcile the legislation in that field.

Having in mind current security situation, especialy regarding developments on the regional level, the Bureau issued guidelines to the competent institutions and law-enforcement bodies to additionally intensify their activities in the field of protection of national interests, security and safety of citizens. It was assessed that quality interinstitutional, regional and international partnership cooperation is of key importance in response to potential threats and challenges, the Western Balkan region is currently facing with, within the context of global security threats and challenges.
