Government of Montenegro Accessibility Statement

Introduction
The Government of Montenegro is committed to ensuring that its digital services are accessible to persons with disabilities, in accordance with Article 15 of the Law on eGovernment (Official Gazette of Montenegro, No. 72/2019 of 26 December 2019) and the Rulebook on Accessibility Standards (Official Gazette of Montenegro, No. 105/2020 of 29 October 2020).
The Government of Montenegro has undertaken significant efforts to make its website easier to use and more accessible to persons with disabilities, guided by the firm belief that everyone has the right to live with dignity, equality, comfort, and independence.
Accessibility on GOV.ME
The GOV.ME portal provides the UserWay Accessibility Widget, hosted on a dedicated accessibility server. This software helps improve the portal’s compliance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1.
Accessing the Accessibility Menu
The accessibility menu on the GOV.ME portal can be accessed by pressing the Tab key when the page first loads or by selecting the accessibility menu icon displayed in the corner of the page. Once activated, please allow a few moments for the accessibility menu to load completely.

Compliance Status
The Government of Montenegro’s web portal is largely compliant with the prescribed accessibility requirements. An exception applies to certain scanned documents published on the portal.
Disclaimer
The Government of Montenegro is committed to continuously improving the accessibility of its website and digital services. We believe it is our collective responsibility to ensure accessible and barrier-free access for all users, including persons with disabilities.
As part of our continuous improvement efforts and to address potential accessibility barriers, the GOV.ME portal is regularly tested using the UserWay Accessibility Scanner, as well as other accessibility evaluation tools, to identify and address potential accessibility barriers.
Despite our best efforts to ensure that all pages and content on the GOV.ME portal are fully accessible, certain content may not yet fully comply with the highest accessibility standards. This may be due to the fact that the most appropriate technological solution has not yet been identified.
Preparation of this Statement
This Accessibility Statement was prepared in 2021 and was last updated in July 2026.
