On the occasion of the forthcoming 75th session of the Assembly of the European Students Union in Montenegro, Minister for Human and Minority Rights Mehmed Zenka held a meeting with the representatives of the Montenegrin Parliamentary Commission on the occasion of selecting the Student Parliament of the University of Montenegro for hosting this important event. Minister underlined that this is the most important event in the field of protection and affirmation of student rights in Europe, which is of great importance to Montenegrin society and that the Government is fully committed to policies aimed at improving the perspective of the youth.

The European Student Union brings together more than 20 million students and is also a significant opportunity for Montenegro's promotion, so it is necessary to include all resources in order to be present all the potentials in a relevant way, the Minister pointed out.
The meeting stressed that the Student Parliament would have unreserved support from the Ministry for Human and Minority Rights and that this Ministry will always look at all its legal options to help students' demands.

Representatives of the Student Parliament also presented activities that will follow the 75th European Students Union which would take place in the last week in November, in Petrovac. At the meeting it was emphasized that the preparations for its maintenance have been carried out in a timely and quality manner and that the implementation of concrete activities should be continued in the forthcoming period, so that the Assembly of Montenegro's Student Parliament once again confirms its credibility at international level.

The Assembly, which is the highest organ of the European Union student union, will discuss at its session in Montenegro about the possible ways of overcoming challenges in higher education, the Bologna process, digitization and gender issues in the student movement.

Last year Montenegro was honored in Malta by being selected as the youngest member of the Union to host this year's 75th Assembly.
The 75th session of the Assembly of the European Union will take place from 25 November to 1 December 2018 in Petrovac. The organizers of this important event are the European Students Union and the Student Parliament of the University of Montenegro.
