Abazović: Criminal organisations were created with the support of certain political structures

If we want to ensure the rule of law, we must have big changes in the Prosecutor's Office and the judiciary and achieve a greater justice, said Deputy Prime Minister Dritan Abazović at the National Dialogue on Resistance to Organised Crime and Corruption in Montenegro.

Abazović pointed out that the state has done more in the fight against organised crime in the last year than in the last ten years, and that all types of the mafia have been attacked by the Police Directorate and the National Security Agency.

DPM Abazović emphasised that neither criminals nor those working illegally feel comfortable and added that Montenegro has achieved results against organised crime.

Abazović stated that, primarily because of the Prosecutor's Office, high-level corruption remains a big problem for this country, noting that criminal organisations in Montenegro were created with the support of certain political structures and high officials of the Police Directorate.
