Abazović hands over certificate of appreciation to Sector for the fight against crime: Arrest of criminal groups leaders is a historic success

On the occassion of the Independence Day, Deputy Prime Minister Dritan Abazović organised a formal reception in the villa "Gorica" for officials of the Ministry of Interior, the Police Directorate and the heads of departments of the Sector for the fight against crime.

The reception was attended by Minister of Interior Sergej Sekulović, Director of the Police Directorate Zoran Brđanin, State Secretary at the Ministry of Interior Zoran Miljanić, Assistant Directors of the Police Directorate Dejan Knežević, Dejan Klikovac, Miloš Rakonjac and Saša Mašković, as well as heads of the Sector for the fight against crime.

Deputy Prime Minister Abazović handed over certificate of appreciation to the Sector for the fight against crime and the Head of that sector and Assistant Director of the Police Directorate Dejan Knezević for their contribution to suppressing the activities of organized criminal groups. DPM Abazović pointed out that with this act he wants to encourage other sectors of the Police Directorate  to achieve the most representative results in the coming period.

At the meeting, DPM Abazović said that in the previous, reform period, the intention of the Government was to restore the reputation and dignity of the Police Directorate , and that the action of arresting the leaders was a historic success achieved by the Police Directorate and the Sector for the fight against crime. He emphasised that despite the modest capacities, enviable results were achieved in the previous period, but that the best is yet to come.

Minister of Interior Sergej Sekulović, Director of the Police Directorate Zoran Brđanin, and Assistant Director of the Police Directorate Dejan Knezević also spoke at the meeting.
