Europe can count on Montenegro as a sincere partner, Prime Minister Dritan Abazović said during an official meeting with EU Ambassador to Montenegro Oana Cristina Popa.

Ambassador Popa congratulated on the election of the 43rd Government and PM Abazović's appointment, stressing that she was looking forward to future cooperation with the Prime Minister and his cabinet, which would aim to accelerate Montenegro's European path, supported by EU Delegation to Montenegro.

The European Union wants Montenegro to be a success story in the Western Balkans and expects results from Montenegro on the path to further reforms, said Ambassador Popa.

Prime Minister Abazović pointed out that the European Union can count on Montenegro as a sincere partner that strives to become a full-fledged member of the EU as soon as possible.

Our intention is to have an efficient government that will deliver visible results in a short period of time. Therefore, the rule of law, in addition to economic development, will be the main direction of our action. In that sense, we will be the initiators of a political dialogue aimed at unblocking judicial institutions and appointing judicial office-holders to a full term. After the unblocking of the Parliament of Montenegro and the creation of a functional Government, that remains one of our most important tasks on the path of internal reforms and the European path of Montenegro, said PM Abazović.
