Abazović meets with Turkish investors: Montenegro has huge investment potential

Published on: Sep 23, 2021 2:30 PM Author: Office of the Deputy Prime Minister

Montenegro has a huge investment potential, which I believe will be a magnet for serious companies in the near future. We are open for investments and you will have a credible partner in us, said Deputy Prime Minister Dritan Abazović during a working lunch with Chairman of DEIK's Turkey-Montenegro Economic Council Naser Alim and fifteen Turkish investor.

Abazović stated that the Government of Montenegro is actively working to be a safe and secure state, in order to create a more favourable climate for foreign investors who want to invest in Montenegro.

DPM Abazović expressed satisfaction with the economic cooperation between the two countries and the fact that the Republic of Turkey is one of the most important investors in Montenegro, emphasising that more than 25% of foreign companies operating in Montenegro are owned by Turkish investors. In that sense, Abazović expressed satisfaction that important Turkish companies, such as "Tosyali Holding", "Global Ports Holding", "Ziraat Bank", "Erka Group", as well as many others, recognised Montenegro's economic potential and started doing business in Montenegro.

Abazović stated that today's meeting is a continuation of the story that began with the visit of members of DEIK's Turkey-Montenegro Economic Council to Montenegro in July, when new modalities and possibilities of expanding economic cooperation between Turkey and Montenegro were discussed.
