Abazović, Milatović: Ulcinj is Montenegro's biggest development opportunity in 2030

Deputy Prime Minister Dritan Abazović, Minister of Economic Development Jakov Milatović, Director of the Administration for Inspection Affairs Ilir Harasani, and Chairman of the Board of PE Morsko dobro Blažo Rađenović paid a working visit to the Municipality of Ulcinj, where they met with hoteliers and beach lessees.

Ulcinj is Montenegro's biggest development opportunity in 2030. We want this city to become a large regional centre of tourism, said Deputy Prime Minister Abazović.

DPM Abazović stated that this year's tourist season exceeded all expectations and that it is obvious that hoteliers, hospitality workers and beach lessees in Ulcinj are very satisfied with what has been achieved. Abazović pointed out the Government's effort to keep guests in this city feeling safe, comfortable and secure.

Minister of Economic Development Jakov Milatović pointed out that in July, according to the Police Directorate, about 740,000 foreigners entered Montenegro, which is at the level of 2019, while in the first 15 days of August, 380,000 foreigners entered Montenegro, and that is 5 percent more than in 2019.

All this is the result of correct and timely decisions of the Government of Montenegro, which gives us the right to say with great pleasure that tourism in Montenegro has recovered and that the recovery of tourism has led to a recovery of all economic activity. The only key to sustainable economic development is to create a good business environment without corruption and racketeering, said the Minister.

The new management of the Public Enterprise for Public Maritime Domain Management will strive for decentralisation, because only in cooperation with the local population can we change enterprise's bad image.
