Abazović thanks Dr. Boljević for his contribution to the procurement of Sputnik V vaccine

Deputy Prime Minister Dritan Abazović hosted today a member of the negotiating team for the procurement of the vaccine from Russia, Dr. Sergej Boljević.

On behalf of the Government of Montenegro and in his personal capacity, Deputy Prime Minister Abazović thanked Dr. Boljević for his immeasurable contribution to the country's fight against the COVID-19 pandemic and the process of procuring vaccines. Abazović said that health workers are the greatest heroes of this time and that the entire country should prioritise their fight against this plague.

Dr. Sergej Boljević thanked the Deputy Prime Minister for the reception and informed him about the process of procuring vaccines. Dr. Boljević said that out of the currently agreed 50,000 doses of the Sputnik V vaccine, 10,000 have arrived in Montenegro so far. Furthermore, he said that 200,000 doses of vaccine would arrive in Montenegro during the spring.
