Abazović to pay three-day working visit to Brussels

Deputy Prime Minister Dritan Abazović will pay a three-day working visit to Brussels, where he will meet with the top officials of NATO and the EU.

On Tuesday (16 March), DPM Abazović will meet with NATO Deputy Secretary General Mircea Geoana, as well as other senior Alliance officials and member states.

On Wednesday, 17 March, Abazović will address MEPs in the European Parliament's Committee on Foreign Affairs (AFET). He will also have separate meetings with Chair of the European Parliament's Committee on Foreign Affairs (AFET) David McAllister, European Parliament's Rapporteur for Montenegro Tonino Picula, as well as Co-chair of EU-Montenegro Stabilisation and Association Parliamentary Committee (SAPC) Vladimír Bilčík.

On the same day, the Deputy Prime Minister will meet with EU Commissioner for Neighbourhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations Olivér Várhely, EU High Representative Joseph Borrell, European Commissioner for Environment, Oceans and Fisheries Virginijus Sinkevičius, and EU Special Representative for the Belgrade-Pristina Dialogue and other Western Balkan regional issues Miroslav Lajčák.

On Thursday, 18 March, DPM Abazović will meet with European Commission Vice-President for Values and Transparency Věra Jourová, as well as with Quint ambassadors.

Abazović will use his first working visit to Brussels to affirm the Government's clear commitment to Montenegro's European integration and resolute commitment to meeting its European agenda obligations, as well as its readiness to strengthen Montenegro's contribution to NATO.
