Austrian Chancellor invites Spajić to New Year’s Concert: The European Union must finally reward you

Prime Minister Milojko Spajić has accepted an invitation from the Federal Chancellor of the Republic of Austria, Christian Stocker, to attend the Vienna New Year’s Concert, which will be held for the first time under the baton of maestro Yannick Nézet-Séguin.

On this occasion, the Austrian Chancellor emphasised that Montenegro – particularly in recent years – represents an ambitious and successful accession process unlike that of any other candidate country.

The European Union must finally reward you, Chancellor Stocker stated.

Chancellor Stocker and Prime Minister Spajić will use this opportunity to reaffirm the strong partnership between Montenegro and Austria, as well as to send an important signal of support for Montenegro’s European perspective.

Art and culture, as unifying forces, best symbolise the shared European future of Austria and Montenegro – values that both countries seek to further strengthen in the years ahead.
