Bečić: Today’s operation confirms the state’s determination to fight organised crime

Today’s operation represents yet another strong confirmation that the state is determined to fight organised crime.

The arrest of an individual suspected of being one of the leaders of a Balkan cartel demonstrates that there are no longer any untouchables, and that Montenegro, in cooperation with international partners, is conducting a serious, resolute and continuous fight against criminal networks that have undermined the country’s security for decades.

This is the result of the work of institutions, their coordination, professionalism, and a clear political will to rid Montenegro of the influence of organised crime.

The fight will not stop. Every criminal structure, no matter how powerful it believes itself to be, must understand that the state is stronger.

We will continue even more decisively, more courageously, and without a single step back.
