Biography Asmir Pepic

Secretary of State

Asmir Pepic was born on 6th October 1982 in Rozaje, where he finished primary and secondary school. He graduated from the Faculty of Economics in Podgorica, majoring in Finance and Banking in June 2006. Currently is undergoing a postgraduate study at the Faculty of Economics in Podgorica, with a major in Finance and Banking while preparing his master's thesis.

In January 2007, he entered into employment relationships with “Magnat osiguranje” AD Podgorica, Finance and Accounting Department, until May 2007. Continues his work engagement in “Hypo Alpe-Adria-Broker-Dealer” s.c. Podgorica", in the position of broker-dealer until February 2009. Work engagement he then contracted with the “Hypo Alpe-Adria-Bank” AD Podgorica (Investment banking, Brokerage, Retail banking, SME, and Retail Sales Force Management) until May 2013. In May 2013, he was appointed by the Government of Montenegro as an advisor to the Deputy Prime Minister for Regional Development, Rafet Husovic, being reappointed in December 2016. After that, in December 2017, he was appointed by the “Parliament of Montenegro” as a member of the Securities/Capital Market Commission.

Furthermore, he was appointed by the “Government of Montenegro” as the Chairperson of the “Commission for the Allocation of Part of the Revenue from Games of Chance” in the period from 2015 to 2017, as well as a member of the “Partnership Council for the Regional Development of Montenegro” in the period from 2013 to 2017. In the period from 2014 to 2020, he was a member of the Asset and Liability Management Board of the “Investment and Development Fund of Montenegro” s.c. Podgorica, while in the period from 2011 to 2014 was a member of the Board of Directors of “Plodovi Crne Gore” AD Podgorica, wherein also being elected in July 2017 as an expert for the verification of knowledge, capabilities, competence and skills by the “Human Resources Management Authority of Montenegro”.

He participated in a large number of conferences, seminars, professional courses and holds various certificates and diplomas, among which we can single out: diplomas and licenses for the title of “Broker”, “Dealer”, “Investment Manager”, as well as “Investment Advisor” by “Capital Market Commission of Montenegro (formerly Securities Commission of Montenegro”, the “European Integration School” and the “School of Democracy” diplomas awarded by the Centre for Civic Education (CCE), diploma of the “Basics of Political Communication” Course and “Political Parties and Political Ideologies” by the “Konrad Adenauer Stiftung” Foundation, a certificate from the course “CRM (Customer Relationship Management)” by the "Association of Banks of Montenegro" and others.
