Cabinet adopts 2021 Agrobudget

The Montenegrin Cabinet, at its today's session, adopted the Decree on the conditions, manner and dynamics of the implementation of agricultural policy measures for 2021 - AGROBUDGET.

The Agrobudget for 2021 allocates funds for market pricing policy measures, rural development measures, and provides support for services in agricultural production and the fisheries sector. Also, funds were provided for: support to general services in agriculture, social transfers to the rural population, technical and administrative support for programme implementation, institutional development and strengthening of agriculture in Montenegro, phytosanitary measures programme, food safety programme and programme of mandatory animal health measures.

The funds envisaged by the Agrobudget were allocated in the total amount of EUR 44,824,447.94, of which EUR 27,162,447.94 from national funds, EUR 9,321,000.00 from donations and EUR 8,341,000.00 from credit funds.

With the new Agrobudget, all direct payments for the livestock sector and for plant production have been increased from 5 to 10%, which represents a total increase of 2 million euros for direct payments in agriculture.

A total of 2,050,000.00 euros has been allocated for direct payments in plant production, which is 30% more than last year.

The adoption of the Agrobudget creates conditions for the implementation of all agricultural policy measures for 2021.
