The Office of the Deputy Prime Minister welcomed the position of the Secretary of the Venice Commission Simona Granata-Menghini, who said in a statement for the daily newspaper "Dan" that the Venice Commission was "especially pleased that after giving the last opinion, the Montenegrin government showed interest in accepting our suggestions".

The Office of the Deputy Prime Minister also said that they were looking forward to cooperation with the Venice Commission and expressed satisfaction with the views of Simona Granata-Menghini, who stated that the Venice Commission remains a reliable partner of Montenegro, always ready to help reach the best solutions.

The Office of the Deputy Prime Minister noted that the previously proposed amendments to the prosecutorial laws was withdrawn after the negative opinion of the Venice Commission and that the main novelty in the new draft law was the change in the composition of the Prosecutorial Council, which are in line with the recommendations of the Venice Commission.

The Office of the Deputy Prime Minister emphasises that after the vote on the amendments to the prosecutorial laws in the Parliament of Montenegro, it will create conditions for changes in the Prosecutor's Office, which is the starting point in the implementation of obligations under Chapters 23 and 24.
