DPM Abazović hosts a farewell visit by Ambassador of Kosovo

Deputy Prime Minister Dritan Abazović hosted today a farewell visit by Ambassador of the Republic of Kosovo Ylber Hysa.

An active contribution to regional stability, peace and dialogue is something we promised when we won the elections. I am glad that a year after the historic elections, I can state that we persisted in that and that this Government pursued a recognisable good neighbourly policy, said DPM Abazović.

DPM Abazović stated that the relations between the two countries are marked by good cooperation and a common European perspective. In that sense, Abazović emphasised that the future of the Western Balkans is in the European Union and the Alliance, and that the region should be even more committed to internal reforms that will make the Western Balkans an economically stable and secure place to live.

The Deputy Prime Minister emphasised that in the previous year, the relations between the two countries were marked by the signing of the Agreement on Mutual Recognition of Motor Vehicle Liability Insurance Documents between the National Bureau of Montenegro Insurers and Kosovo Insurance Bureau.

The abolition of border insurance payments proved to be a good move before the current tourist season, during which many tourists from Kosovo visited Montenegro and Ulcinj, Abazović concluded.
