DPM Abazović hosts the Ambassador of South Korea

Deputy Prime Minister Dritan Abazović and Minister of Capital Investments Mladen Bojanić hosted today the non-resident Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Montenegro, H. E. Hyoung-chan Choe.

Deputy Prime Minister Abazović pointed out that Montenegro sees South Korea as an important and respectable, friendly partner with whom it wants to improve relations at several levels, especially in the fields of economy, green economy, energy, digital technology, education, entrepreneurship development, innovation and knowledge exchange.

In that sense, Abazović stated that the best indicator of excellent relations between the two countries are two valuable donations that South Korea sent to Montenegro during the COVID-19 crisis, i.e. 1000 PCR tests and 277,000 protective masks worth $ 200,000.

Minister of Capital Investments Mladen Bojanić emphasised that there is a huge space for improving cooperation, especially in the field of economy, through stronger connections between Montenegrin and Korean companies through the office of the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA).

The Ambassador of the Republic of Korea, H. E. Hyoung-chan Choe stressed that South Korea is always ready to help friendly countries, announcing a donation of $ 200,000 worth ship for sea research. Ambassador Hyoung-chan emphasised that there is good economic cooperation between the two countries, which is best reflected in the fact that there is an increase in trade between the two countries. Speaking about the strengthening of cooperation in the field of culture and connecting the citizens of the two countries, Ambassador Hyoung-chan said that a cultural and artistic event will be organised in Podgorica that will bring the tradition of South Korea closer to Montenegro and its citizens.
