DPM Bečić meets with Miroslav Lajčák

At the conclusion of his visit to Brussels, Deputy Prime Minister Bečić had a friendly meeting with EU Special Representative for the Belgrade-Pristina Dialogue and other Western Balkans regional issues Miroslav Lajčák. They jointly assessed that Montenegro has been a very positive topic in Brussels in recent months, and that this year marks a turning point for Montenegro's European integration. They emphasised that obtaining the IBAR would be the first major step towards finalizing the process, which should be followed by the efficient closing of negotiation chapters. Therefore, they highlighted the need for accountability among all members of society, as the historic opportunity presented to Montenegro and this generation of politicians must not be missed. They concluded that this paramount national interest and goal must transcend all others, as this is a collective task that can only be successfully accomplished through teamwork and a collaborative approach.
