DPM Bečić sends telegram of condolences following the tragedy in Switzerland

On behalf of the Government of Montenegro and in my personal capacity, I extend our sincere condolences to the Ambassador of Switzerland to Montenegro, state officials, the families of the victims, and all citizens of Switzerland following the tragedy that occurred on New Year’s Eve, which led to the declaration of five days of mourning in a country friendly to Montenegro.

Montenegro values and does not forget the helping hand extended by our Swiss friends on many occasions, most recently just a few months ago when Swiss ground forces stayed in our country, assisting us in coping with the wildfire season. With wishes that strength, solidarity and unity accompany you in these difficult moments, please accept once again our deepest condolences for those who lost their lives, together with hope and prayers for the recovery of the injured.
