FISCALIS
Objectives
The FISCALIS program for cooperation in the field of taxation is designed to assist tax administrations in improving the functioning of the internal market, fostering competitiveness, protecting the financial and economic interests of the EU, preventing tax fraud, tax evasion, and tax avoidance, as well as improving tax collection.
The specific objectives of the Program are to support tax policy and the implementation of EU tax legislation, foster cooperation among tax authorities, exchange tax information, build administrative capacity, develop human resources, and advance the development and operation of European electronic systems.
Activities
The Program provides financial support for the following activities:
- Seminars, workshops, and working visits
- Project groups and expert teams
- Joint actions in the field of tax audit/control
- Human resources development and capacity building
- IT capacity building, specifically the development and operation of European electronic systems
- Preparation of joint studies and other related activities
Beneficiaries
The beneficiaries of the Program are all Tax Administration officials.
The National Coordinator within the Tax Administration is responsible for the implementation and coordination of the Program.
Legal Framework
Regulation (EU) 2021/847 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 20 May 2021 establishing the "Fiscalis" programme for cooperation in the field of taxation and repealing Regulation (EU) No 1286/2013.
